Exploring Russia Through Education and Culture
Following the students’ remarkable achievement at the International Olympiad Competition held in October 2024 in Seychelles, SAWI had the great pleasure of accompanying the four selected students on an unforgettable two-week educational journey to Russia, fully sponsored by the Russian side.
The trip began in Moscow, the capital of the world’s largest country. It was especially exciting for the students to experience frosty November weather for the very first time. During their stay, the group visited famous landmarks including Red Square and VDNKh, explored museums, discovered Russian history and traditions, and enjoyed authentic Russian cuisine and local coffee culture. The journey was educational, inspiring, and a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

The journey then continued to the Ural region, where the university warmly welcomed the students with the traditional Russian bread and salt ceremony — a symbol of hospitality and friendship in Russian culture. The group visited theatres, museums, and the city of Yekaterinburg, enjoyed activities at a local snowy farm, and experienced student life at the university firsthand through cultural and educational exchanges.
At the conclusion of the visit, SAWI, represented by Founder and CEO Dr. Svetlana Broussova, signed an agreement with Shadrinsk State Pedagogical University, represented by Acting Rector Artur Ruslanovich Dziov, to continue educational cooperation and student exchange programmes between the two countries.
The visit was filled with warmth, friendship, and unforgettable memories for students from both Russia and Seychelles. As the journey came to an end, everyone departed with hope and excitement to return again in the near future.
